Opened in. 1951 or 1954 as CFB Baden–Soellingen.
Closed in. The base closed in 1994. The Baden Airpark GmbH took over the area in 1995 and it's commercial flights first started in 1997. The first commercial flight flown by Hapag-Lloyd Flug (now TUIfly) took place in April 2001.
Operated by. Canadian armed forces until 1994 and Baden-Airpark GmbH there after.
Owned by. Canadian armed forces until 1994 and Baden-Airpark GmbH there after.

  • A Canadian built Canadian army forces housing area near the base was named Kleinkanada (Engilsh: Little Canada).
  • Technically speaking today the airport itself is a part of the actual Baden Airpark, which also includes various business facilities.
