The No. 3 Squadron IAF was there during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and still is. On 2 January 2016, 6 heavily armed terrorists who were suspected to belong to Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed attacked the Air Force Station and caused some damage to it.
